To celebrate the release of DØOB, Armie and Javi Green's Deaf Humans EP, out on Clockpoets now, we spoke with Javi to discuss his favourite tracks. The Deaf Humans EP is the second release on Spanish imprint Clockpoets, which is a stunning effort featuring three originals from the dynamic trio. It continues Clockpoets’ auspicious start, further cementing its reputation as a label to keep an eye on.

Promising young DJ/Producer, resident in Ibiza, but originally from Bilbao, Javi has been submerged in the electronic music scene since the age of 14. After moving to Ibiza, Javi became one of the resident DJs of Pacha Ibiza´s new resort, Destino. Under the management of Magnum Bookings, he has also become resident DJ at Reverse and Club X in Madrid. As a producer, Javi has edited releases on labels such as Disco Royal, Sinnmusik, and Alma Soul Music. He has performed in various clubs and festivals worldwide such as Pacha, Space, Privilege, Ushuaia, Sankeys, La Feria, ADE, BBK live, BIME, and Sonar Off to name a few.

Cristi Cons & DeWalta - Space Between

Romania and Germany unite in this subtle, but deep track by one of the most dynamic duos of the moment.  It has an analog essence with a lot of personality.  I believe that it's the perfect combination between vocals and diffused melodies with a minimal house base.

Ada Kaleh - Palatul de cleştar

I love this track and all the work done by Ada Kaleh.  His music is super hypnotic and full of character, that´s why playing his records is such a pleasure for the DJ and the clubber.  Ada´s edited this release on his label, but it will be re-released with new remixes by the prestigious label, R&S Records.

Birdsmakingmachine - Gnip Gnop (Fumiya Tanaka Remix)

One of the best remixes that I have without a doubt has to be from Fumiya.  It´s a few years old, but it´ll never be out of style, which I proved it recently while playing at BBK Live.  The vocals trap you from the first moment with other worldly percussion sounds.

Ricardo Villalobos - Empirical House [arpiar015]

Ricardo in his pure state by Arpiar.  Microhouse with minimalistic groove, unstoppable.

Vincentiulian - Alpha [MMNT003]

Groove, groove and more groove.  Romanian label, Moment Records, never disappoints.  This track moves something inside of you, it´s a perfect harmony between percussions, melody and vocal chops.  Takes you to another world.

Margaret Dygas - That Oops

PERLON!!!  I bought this record in Berlin and met Margaret on the return trip to Ibiza and have had it in my record case for the past three years.  I've never found a reason to take it out.

Valeria Croft, Lights Elektronika feat. Mauskata - The Others

The first EP by Rare.  I´ll never forget it.  I bought it in Halcyon, NY and played it at a gig there and it was great.  An elegant track that takes you on a journey.  Timeless.

Ada Kaleh - Sonata Disonanta (Priku Reconstruction)

Priku demonstrates in this remix his mastery of the machines.  I love it from beginning to end.  Treated acoustic melodies mixed with modular sounds with his characteristic groove.

Arapu - Hazard

If I could choose more than one, I'd name three cuts from this record because I play them a lot.  One of the most complete EPs I have in my case, characterized by it´s Romanian vibe.  Check it out.
