Following his release on DVS1’s Mistress Recordings in early 2017, Look Like strikes back with a new release on his own Akoya Circles imprint. 'Delta' is a four track blend of early Detroit & Chicago sounds with a hip hop sensibility, sprinklings of acidic basslines and playful drum programming.

All in all it's a very pleasant release that combines all the things I love about old school. It's very difficult to pick a favourite track but it's a certainly a toss up between Delta and Questions. The misty dreamscape of Delta punctuated by moody bass stabs certainly do it for me, but it's definitely Questions that steals the show. The beautifully utilised vocal sample that brings me back to both days of listening to Chicago/Detroit house as well as of course St. Germain. There's no doubt the acid sound is hot right now and the sparse sprinklings of 303 throughout show how mellifluously it can be utilised.
